Sue Boland is the December Volunteer of the Month. Sue is a retired reading specialist from Jamestown Public Schools and she claims that one day in 2011 she dropped some food off after an event, and before she could leave the building Volunteer Coordinator Woody Howland had signed her up to be a volunteer. 6 years later she loves the experience and works on Monday morning 9-12 shift with Paulette Brigiotta ( left) and Sandy Leone (right ) pictured above. Sue has been married to Jim Boland for 28 years and in her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, baking and she does water aerobics at the Boys and Girls Club.
When asked why she volunteers here she says “it’s heartwarming to know that we are helping people in need and most of them are very appreciative of the service we provide, they are always saying thank you or God Bless you. It leaves you with a good feeling inside. “
