Ken & Barb Eggleston have been selected as the September Volunteers of the month at St. Susan Center. The pair has been volunteering at the soup kitchen since 2004. Ken and Barb have been happily married for 54 years have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Ken and Barb are serious about helping folks with hunger issues as they also volunteer at the Salvation Army Food Pantry 1 day a week for the last 10 years. When asked why they volunteer at the soup kitchen, they responded, “We believe in helping people who are less fortunate than us.”
When the weather turns cold here they pack up their RV and head south to Central Florida (Orlando) to soak up the sunshine. Ken and Barb work part-time in Florida at a local Fruit Market and sell Rada Cutlery.
Thank You, Ken and Barb Eggleston, for your many years of dedicated service to feeding the hungry in Jamestown.
