COVID-19 Response

Dear Friends of St. Susan Center Soup Kitchen,

Over the last 35 years our staff and volunteers have been dedicated to serving meals to the hungry who pass through our doors. The well-being of everyone within our community is important to us.

With this in mind, and in consultation with our board and community partners, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend our volunteer program and modify our current operations. Beginning on Wednesday, March 18th through Sunday, April 6th, our meal service will consist of a daily bagged lunch that will be distributed in the entryway foyer of St. Susan’s. Staff will distribute meals to guests during our usual operating hours. The dining room will be closed.

Although our operations are temporarily changing in response to the COVID-19, we remain committed to our mission of offering food, fellowship, dignity and respect to all who come through our doors.

We will continue to monitor communications from NY State and Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services regarding the pandemic. We will provide updates as needed and will let you know when our daily operations are reinstated.
