Holiday Haul Returns Dec. 18–20 to Support St. Susan Center

The St. Susan Center is excited to announce the 13th Annual Holiday Haul, returning December 18–20, 2025, at the Jamestown Cycle Shop parking lot. This cherished community tradition continues to support the Center’s mission of providing food, fellowship, dignity, and respect to neighbors in need.

Last year, the Holiday Haul collected more than $11,700 and 6,700 pounds of food, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of residents, businesses, and volunteers. Organizers hope the community will once again come together to help meet the rising need this holiday season.

In addition to in-person drop-offs of canned goods and other items, monetary donations can be made securely online at stsusancenter.org/haul. Every gift helps provide meals and essential support to neighbors in need and will be included in this year’s Holiday Haul totals.

A New Opportunity to Give: The “Forever Rising” Parade Truck

For the first time, the Holiday Haul began early with a special kick-off during the Jamestown Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6. The Cummins-United Way sponsored “Forever Rising” truck—an impressive symbol of community pride—drove down Third Street collecting canned goods and monetary donations along the parade route.

Along the parade route, students with Collaborative Children’s Solutions Next Gen Jamestown collected additional canned goods or cash donations. All parade donations will be added to the Holiday Haul’s final three-day collection total.

This effort highlights the long-standing and deeply valued partnership between St. Susan Center and Cummins, whose employees donate countless volunteer hours and logistical support each year. The Holiday Haul committee at Cummins—Jen Lundmark, Dan Keefe, Deb Jordano, Brandie Sischo, Melissa Hagberg, Melissa Pollino, Nathan Montaygne, Starr Ryder, and Brandon Chase—plays a crucial role in organizing, staffing, and energizing this event, helping ensure its continued growth and success.

“Community at Its Best”

“The Holiday Haul is one of the most uplifting traditions in Jamestown,” said Cherie Rowland, Executive Director of St. Susan Center. “The support from Cummins and the generosity shown by our community—whether at the parade or during the event itself—reminds us what’s possible when we come together for a common cause.”

Longtime Holiday Haul organizer and newly seated St. Susan Center Board Member Dan Keefe shared similar thoughts: “Year after year, this event proves how strong our community truly is. The addition of the ‘Forever Rising’ truck gives people even more ways to give, and we’re looking forward to an incredible turnout.”

Continuing a Legacy of Service

Founded through the vision of community leader Keith Martin, the Holiday Haul continues to thrive thanks to dedicated organizers like Keefe, strong corporate partners like Cummins, and the many local businesses and volunteers who support the effort. This year’s event is especially meaningful as St. Susan Center continues raising funds to renovate its future home at the former Jamestown Business College building.
