The orange dot is the readability score, and that column is green on the other three. The finale is the one product where I rewrote the middle section, and in doing so I dropped the transition words the other versions carry, plus that opening sentence about the three teams runs past forty words.

This is the last night. Three teams survived the prelims, one from police, one from fire, and one from EMS. Now they return to the St. Susan Center parking lot to cook for the title of Battle of the Badges Champion.

Your ticket puts you in the crowd for it. First, taste every soup and vote for the People’s Choice. Then watch the final mystery basket round play out in front of you. Finally, stay for the trophy.
